Spanish 1 and 2 (High School)
This program gives the student the opportunity to review high school Spanish 1 concepts, and to embark on Spanish 2 concepts. Through both fun activities and formal lessons, students will learn and review such areas as essential Spanish expressions, fudamental Spanish 1 concepts, verb conjugation in present, preterit, and imperfect tenses, common regular and irregular verbs, common stem changing verbs, object pronouns, reflexive verbs, common vocabulary themes (i.e. food, clothes, sports, environment, family, school), culture, and other topics typically studied at the first 2 levels. Activities include formal lecture, games, skits, worksheet activities, video viewings and song listening activities.
This course is ideal for the high school student who is planning to take Spanish 3 in the 2013-2014 year. This course is also ideal for students who would like a "heads up" before taking Spanish 2 during the 2013-2014 school year.
Student must have already successfully completed (B or higher) a Spanish 1 or equivalent program.
A maximum of 8 students can be accepted for each section of this course. Limited space available.

- Expand knowledge of culture and history of Spanish speaking world
- Expand Spanish vocabulary knowledge in common themes
Tuesdays/Thursdays, 330 pm to 530 pm , July 9 to August 8 (20 hours total)
