
Spanish 1 and 2 (High School)
Overview of the Spanish 1 and 2 program
This program gives the student the opportunity to cover high school Spanish 1 and 2 concepts. Through both fun activities and formal lessons, students will learn and review such areas as essential Spanish expressions, fudamental Spanish 1 concepts, verb conjugation in present and preterit, common regular verbs, common stem changing verbs, object pronouns, reflexive verbs, common vocabulary themes (i.e. food, clothes, sports, environment, family, school), culture, and other topics typically studied at the first 2 levels. Activities include formal lecture, games, skits, worksheet activities, video viewings and song listening activities.
Prerequisites
Student must have already completed a Spanish 1 or equivalent program.
Important Note
A maximum of 8 students can be accepted for each section of this course. Limited space available.
Objective of the Spanish 1 and 2 program
- Review Spanish 1 concepts
- Embark on Spanish 2 concepts
- Expand knowledge of culture and history of Spanish speaking world
- Expand Spanish vocabulary knowledge in common themes

Tuesdays/Thursdays, 4 pm to 6 pm, July 6 to August 5 (20 hours total)
