Advanced Interm Spanish Reading, Composition and Discussion

Through this course, students will have the opportunity to read an article, learn pertinent vocabulary, write a composition on the topic, and further discuss in class.

This is an excellent course for students who want to develop their Spanish reading, writing and speaking skills.

*Please note that it is not required to attend all sessions of this course, as the structure of this curriculum will allow for students to attend on a drop-in basis. However, regardless of number of sessions that student attends, full tuition cost applies.

Como tener las mejores vacaciones (Vocab: Viaje)

Como responder a una emergencia (Vocab:Emergencias)

Como crear un hogar agradable (Vocab: Hogar)

Como ahorrar dinero (Vocab: Dinero)

Como cuidar el medioambiente (Vocab:Medioambiente)

Como prevenir robo de identidad y fraude internet (Vocab:Internet)

* Students who want additional grammar practice before entering a more advanced course.

* Students who want additional grammar practice WHILE TAKING an advanced spanish course.

 

Prerequisites

Admission to the Spanish Conversation course requires demonstration of proficiency of level 2 concepts. Student must have successfully completed a at least a level 4 course, or must demonstrate proficiency in level 4 Spanish concepts.

Upon completion of this course, the student will:

  • Review such advanced level concepts as double object pronoun placement, relative pronouns, commands, stressed possessive adjectives, the differences between ¨ser and estar, concordance, irregular verb conjugation, and demonstrative adjectives,
  • Review verb tenses typically covered at advanced level (imperfect, preterit, present perfect, and present/past subjunctive)

Prerequisites

Admittance to this course requires demonstration of proficiency of level 1 and 2 concepts. Student must have successfully completed the level 2 course, or must demonstrate an aptitude in level 2 concepts.
